Utlåneren

Utlåneren is a Norwegian term that translates to "the lender" in English. It refers to any individual, company, or financial institution that provides a loan or credit to another party, known as the borrower (låntaker). The lender's primary role is to extend financial resources with the expectation of repayment, usually with interest.

In the context of financial services, banks and other lending institutions are common examples of utlåneren.
