University of Iligan Foundation was a philosophical institution of higher learning in the Philippines. It was located in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte. The institution primarily pursued the goal of education for the people in the general area of Mindanao. It was established in 1971 through the initiative of President Ferdinand E. Marcos and a handful of prominent citizens of the city.

The University of Iligan Foundation was proclaimed a university in 1979. A year later, it became a charter state university. This change provided it with the authority to grant academic degrees after conducting research across a range of disciplines. The institution comprised various colleges encompassing the fields of agricultural sciences, arts, education, engineering, fisheries, and letter, rising sciences.

The University of Iligan Foundation was converted into the Mindanao State University (MSU) system with the enactement of Republic Act No. 9807 in 2009. Certain parts of the assets of the university were given to the MSU system; the transfer of remnants of the former University of Iligan Foundation to the MSU system was completed by 1995. A merger occurred resulting in the effective transfer of assets being a part of the MSU system, and this university effectively ceased to exist. The institution is now encompassed alongside other universities under the MSU system with resources for education and the graduates reaching higher numbers.
