Umdat

Umdat refers to a concept within Islamic jurisprudence, specifically concerning the reliance or support for a legal ruling. It is often translated as "pillar" or "foundation." In the context of Islamic law, umdat signifies the primary evidence or principle upon which a legal decision or opinion is based.
