Ujazdów

Ujazdów is a historic neighborhood located in Śródmieście, the central district of Warsaw, Poland. It is situated on the Vistula River escarpment and is known for its significant cultural and governmental institutions, as well as its green spaces.

Historically, Ujazdów was a village and later a royal summer residence. The Ujazdów Castle, a former royal residence, was built in the 17th century and later rebuilt. While the castle itself was largely destroyed during World War II, its grounds are now part of the Łazienki Park complex.

Today, Ujazdów is most prominently associated with the Łazienki Park, one of Warsaw's largest and most beautiful parks. Within the park are several notable buildings, including the Palace on the Isle, the Old Orangery, and the Amphitheatre. These structures, along with the park's extensive gardens and natural beauty, make Ujazdów a major tourist attraction.

Beyond the park, Ujazdów is also home to several important government buildings, including the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland and the Ministry of Finance. The area also features embassies and other administrative offices, reflecting its central importance in the capital.
