Udskolingen
Udskolingen is the final phase of the Danish compulsory education, within the folkeskole. It typically covers seventh through ninth grade, and in some municipalities the tenth grade is included as part of udskolingen. It follows indskolingen and precedes the optional upper secondary education. The main purpose is to consolidate core competences, broaden subject understanding, and prepare students for the transition to upper secondary education and adulthood.
The curriculum emphasizes core subjects—Danish, mathematics, English and science—while allowing for increased elective and project-based work.
Assessment includes ongoing classroom assessment, tests, and provision of feedback aimed at supporting progression. The udskolingen
