UPCEANstandardsüsteemidega
UPCEANstandard is a system used for uniquely identifying retail products. It is a type of barcode symbology that encodes a number of digits. The most common types are UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, and EAN-8. UPC-A, with its 12 digits, is prevalent in North America for point-of-sale scanning. UPC-E is a shortened version of UPC-A, designed for smaller packages. EAN-13, a 13-digit code, is the standard in most countries outside of North America and is compatible with UPC-A. EAN-8 is a shorter version of EAN-13, used for very small items where a full EAN-13 would not fit.
These standards are managed by GS1, a global organization that develops and maintains supply chain standards.
