Trækulde

Trækulde is a small coastal village in the Nordmark region of the fictional country Nordheim. It lies on a sheltered inlet with a rocky shoreline, a low bluff to the north, and flat tidal marshes to the east. The village centers on a harbor that supports small-scale fishing and boatbuilding.

The first written references date from the 13th century, and the settlement grew around a natural harbor used by local skippers. The name Trækulde is of uncertain origin, appearing in late medieval records and possibly linked to Norse elements describing movement of ships or herding livestock.

Administration and transport: Trækulde is part of the Nordmark Municipal Council and is governed by a local village board. It is connected by a regional road and a regular ferry service to the mainland; the nearest rail link is in the regional town, about 20 kilometers away.
