Trockenlöschpulver
Trockenlöschpulver, often abbreviated as "Pulver", refers to a type of extinguishing agent used in fire extinguishers. It is a dry chemical powder composed of finely ground inorganic salts, such as monoammonium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, or potassium bicarbonate. These powders are non-conductive and can be used on various classes of fires, including Class A (ordinary combustibles), Class B (flammable liquids and gases), and Class C (electrical fires). Some specific formulations are designed for Class D fires involving combustible metals.
When discharged, the powder forms a barrier between the fuel and the oxygen, interrupting the combustion process.
