Traktionkontroll
Traktionkontroll, also known as traction control, is an electronic system designed to improve vehicle handling and safety by preventing the wheels from spinning during acceleration. It is particularly effective on slippery surfaces, such as ice or wet roads, where the risk of loss of control is high. The system works by monitoring the speed of each wheel and comparing it to the speed of the vehicle. If it detects that a wheel is spinning, it reduces the power to that wheel, allowing the vehicle to maintain traction and stability. Traktionkontroll can be found in various forms, including Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). These systems are standard features in many modern vehicles, contributing to enhanced safety and control for drivers.
