Tovarlarning

Tovarlarning is a grammatical form in Uzbek derived from the noun tovar, meaning goods or products. When used, it expresses possession or association, indicating “of the goods” or “the goods’.”

Morphology and usage: The base word tovar receives the plural marker -lar to form tovarlar (goods). To show possession or a genitive relation, the suffix -ning is added, producing tovarlarning. The complete form thus means “of the goods” and is typically followed by another noun that denotes what is possessed or described, for example tovarlarning sifati (the quality of the goods) or tovarlarning narxi (the price of the goods). In Uzbek, possessive or genitive relations are established by attaching these suffixes to the preceding noun phrase, with agreement as needed by surrounding grammar.

Examples and contexts: Tovarlarning sifati is a common construction in economics, commerce, and consumer affairs, used to discuss product quality, pricing, or supply. Tovarlarning ta’minoti would refer to the supply or provisioning of the goods. The form appears frequently in official documents, market analyses, and news reporting when the subject is the goods themselves rather than a specific quantity or individual item.
