Tombaughs
Tombaughs refers to the celestial objects discovered by Clyde Tombaugh, an American astronomer. His most famous discovery is Pluto, which was initially classified as a planet. Tombaugh's work was instrumental in the early exploration and understanding of the outer solar system. He utilized a blink comparator, a device that allowed him to compare photographic plates of the sky taken at different times, to detect objects that had moved against the background stars. This method led to the identification of numerous asteroids and other minor planets in addition to Pluto.
