Tiriamojo

Tiriamojo is a small village located in the northern region of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. It is situated along the banks of the Muni River, approximately 15 kilometers from the provincial capital, Ebebiyin. The village is primarily inhabited by members of the Bubi ethnic group, who are known for their agricultural practices and traditional crafts.

The economy of Tiriamojo is largely based on agriculture, with the main crops being cassava, yams, and plantains. The villagers also engage in fishing, utilizing the Muni River as a primary source of protein. In addition to these activities, some residents are involved in small-scale trading and crafts, such as weaving and pottery.

The village has a basic primary school that provides education to the local children. Tiriamojo also has a small health center, which offers basic medical services to the community. The villagers practice a blend of traditional and Christian beliefs, with many attending local churches for religious services.

Tiriamojo is connected to the rest of the country by a network of dirt roads, which can be challenging to navigate during the rainy season. The village has limited access to modern amenities, such as electricity and running water, but efforts are being made to improve infrastructure and services in the area. Despite these challenges, the residents of Tiriamojo maintain a strong sense of community and cultural identity.
