Tengelyforgás

Tengelyforgás, a Hungarian term, translates to "axis of rotation" or "rotation about an axis" in English. This concept is fundamental in physics and geometry, describing the motion of an object around a fixed line. When an object undergoes tengelyforgás, every point on the object, except for those lying on the axis itself, traces a circular path. The center of each circle lies on the axis of rotation, and the plane of each circle is perpendicular to the axis.

The speed at which an object rotates about its axis is measured by its angular velocity, often denoted by the Greek letter omega (ω). This can be expressed in radians per second or revolutions per minute (RPM). The direction of the axis of rotation is important and can be defined using a right-hand rule: if the fingers of your right hand curl in the direction of rotation, your thumb points in the direction of the axis.
