Templestowe

Templestowe is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located 17 kilometres east of the central business district. It is part of the City of Manningham local government area. The suburb is primarily residential, characterized by a mix of established homes and newer developments.

The area's name is believed to be derived from the Templestowe Estate, a large property established in the mid-19th century. Over time, the estate was subdivided, leading to the development of the residential suburb. Templestowe's growth accelerated in the latter half of the 20th century, with significant housing construction.

Key features of Templestowe include its proximity to natural parklands, most notably Westerfolds Park and Ruffey Lake Park, which offer recreational opportunities.
