Tehidy
Tehidy is a locality and historic estate in west Cornwall, England. It lies inland from the towns of Camborne and Redruth, near Illogan. The area is best known for Tehidy Woods, a large woodland landscape that formed part of the historic Tehidy Estate. The estate was developed around Tehidy House and played a significant role in the area’s social and economic history, with the woods providing timber and landscape for the family estate.
In the mid-20th century, the estate was acquired for public use, and Tehidy Woods became Tehidy Country
Today Tehidy is part of the rural fabric of Cornwall, representing the transformation of private countryside
