Tecumseh
Tecumseh (c. 1768–1813) was a Shawnee leader and warrior who sought to unite Indigenous peoples of the North American frontiers to resist United States expansion in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Born in the Ohio Country around 1768, Tecumseh rose to prominence during a period of upheaval following the American Revolution, aided in part by his younger brother Tenskwatawa, the Prophet, whose religious revival and calls for political unity helped mobilize tribes.
