Tavake
Tavake is a small island located in the Pacific Ocean, part of the Tuvalu archipelago. Situated in the northern group of Tuvalu’s nine atolls, Tavake is one of the least populated islands, with a population of around 300 people as of recent estimates. The island is characterized by its low-lying coral atoll, surrounded by a narrow lagoon and fringed by sandy beaches. Like much of Tuvalu, Tavake faces environmental challenges, including rising sea levels and erosion, which threaten its coastal infrastructure and traditional way of life.
