Tashkiloti

Tashkiloti is a fictional city located in the central lowlands of Veridia, a parliamentary republic in the continent of Eldoria. The city serves as the administrative capital of Veridia's central province and an economic hub for the surrounding agricultural region.

The name derives from the Veridian word tashkilo meaning "to organize" or "assembly," reflecting its historical role as a guild center. Founded in the 13th century by a coalition of masons and merchants, Tashkiloti grew from a walled market town into a regional center by the 16th century.

Geographically, Tashkiloti sits on the Neth River valley, at 200–400 m above sea level, with a temperate climate and four distinct seasons. The city includes a mix of old stone districts and newer residential belts, with parks along the riverfront.

The population is around 62,000. The official language is Veridian; minority communities speak Harelian and Surthi. The municipal government is a council with an elected mayor.

The economy centers on textiles, light manufacturing, and agro-processing, supported by a regional rail hub and a small commercial port on the river. Tourism focuses on historic architecture and river culture.

Notable sites include the Tallstone Cathedral, the Old Mill Bridge, and the Veridian City Park. The annual Tashkiloti Week festival celebrates craft, music, and local gastronomy.
