Talajbi

Talajbi is a historic region in the highlands of the fictional country of Ardara. It comprises a central urban core, the Talajbi Plateau, and the surrounding valleys. The region is known for its ethnic diversity and long-standing craft traditions.

Earliest settlements in Talajbi date to the early medieval period, and the area has long served as a caravan crossroads linking coastal towns with inland markets. Over the centuries it was ruled by several dynasties before being incorporated into the modern Ardaran state in the 20th century.

The population is primarily ethnic Talajbi, with minorities including the Rhal and Kadi communities. The Talajbi language is spoken by the majority, alongside the national language used in education and administration.

The economy centers on subsistence and market farming, including barley and olives, as well as textile weaving, pottery, and small trades. Tourism focuses on historic architecture, mountain scenery, and traditional crafts.

Administratively, Talajbi is a provincial unit governed under Ardara’s central government, with a regional council and an administrator responsible for local services. The region maintains cultural institutions, archives, and regional festivals that celebrate Talajbi heritage.
