Täytäntöönpanovaiheessa refers to the enforcement stage in Finnish law. This phase follows a final court decision or a legally binding agreement where one party is obligated to perform an action or pay a sum of money to another party, and they have failed to do so voluntarily. The täytäntöönpanovaiheessa is the legal process initiated to ensure compliance with the original judgment or agreement.

The primary authority responsible for executing enforcement proceedings in Finland is the Enforcement Authority (ulosottolaitos). This body is tasked with enforcing court judgments, arbitration awards, and other enforceable documents. The process typically begins when the creditor, the party who is owed a debt or obligation, files an enforcement application with the Enforcement Authority.

Upon receiving the application, the Enforcement Authority assesses its validity and then contacts the debtor, the party against whom the enforcement is sought. The debtor is usually given an opportunity to comply with the obligation voluntarily, such as paying a debt or returning property. If the debtor fails to cooperate, the Enforcement Authority has various legal tools at its disposal to enforce the decision. These can include seizing and selling the debtor's assets, garnishing wages or bank accounts, or even, in certain circumstances, ordering the debtor's arrest or imprisonment.
