Tärpättiin

It has been a common solvent for paints, varnishes, and lacquers, particularly in oil-based formulations, due to its ability to dissolve resins and oils. Its strong odor and volatile nature allow it to evaporate, leaving behind the dissolved binder. It has also been employed in the production of waxes and polishes.
