Tápegységekhez

Tápegységekhez refers to power supplies in Hungarian. A power supply unit (PSU), also known as a power supply, is an electronic device that provides electric power to an electronic load. The term is most commonly associated with the power supplies used in computers, but it also applies to a wide range of other electronic devices, from small portable electronics to large industrial equipment.

Computer power supplies convert the alternating current (AC) from a wall outlet to the direct current (DC) voltages required by the computer's internal components. These voltages are typically stepped down and regulated to precise levels, such as +12V, +5V, and +3.3V, which are used by the motherboard, graphics card, hard drives, and other peripherals. The efficiency of a power supply is measured by how much AC power it converts into usable DC power, with higher efficiency ratings indicating less wasted energy as heat.

Beyond computers, power supplies are integral to virtually all electronic systems. They are found in televisions, smartphones, gaming consoles, industrial machinery, and medical equipment, among many other applications. The specific design and specifications of a tápegység depend on the voltage and current requirements of the device it is powering. Common types of power supplies include linear power supplies and switching-mode power supplies (SMPS), with SMPS being the more prevalent type in modern electronics due to their higher efficiency and smaller size.
