Súðavíks
Súðavíks is a former municipality and currently a village in the Westfjords of Iceland. It is located on the southern shore of the Álftafjörður bay, within the larger Ísafjarðardjúp fjord. Historically, Súðavíks was a significant fishing settlement, and its economy was largely based on the sea. The village experienced a tragic avalanche in January 1995 that destroyed many houses and claimed several lives, profoundly impacting the community.
