Szívóoldalon

Szívóoldalon is a Hungarian term that translates to "suction side" or "intake side" in English. It refers to the part of a system where fluid, such as air or liquid, is drawn into a component. This concept is fundamental in various engineering and mechanical applications, most notably in engines and pumps.

In internal combustion engines, the szívóoldalon refers to the intake manifold and the pathway through which the air-fuel mixture (or just air in direct-injection engines) enters the combustion chamber. The design and efficiency of the szívóoldalon significantly impact the engine's performance, power output, and fuel economy.
