Symmetriretning

Symmetriretning, often translated as "axis of symmetry" or "line of symmetry," refers to a line or plane within a geometric object where the object can be reflected to produce an identical image. This means that if you were to fold the object along this line or plane, the two halves would perfectly align.

In two-dimensional geometry, a symmetriretning is a line. For example, a square has four axes of symmetry: two that pass through the midpoints of opposite sides and two that connect opposite vertices.
