Surmiran

Surmiran is a dialect of Romansh, a Romance language spoken in the canton of Graubünden (Grisons) in Switzerland. It is one of the five principal dialects of Romansh, alongside Sursilvan, Sutsilvan, Putèr, and Vallader. Surmiran is traditionally spoken in the Surmiran region of Graubünden, in the eastern part of the Romansh-speaking area. The dialect is categorized with the eastern Romansh varieties and shares features with neighboring dialects while remaining distinct from Vallader and Sursilvan.
