Suojaimiksi

Suojaimiksi is a Finnish linguistic form used to express “as protective devices” or “into protective devices.” It is the translative plural form of the noun suojain, which denotes a protective device or piece of protective equipment. In Finnish, the translative case marks a change of state or function, so suojain becomes suojaimiksi when referring to something that is used as protective devices or transformed into such devices. The everyday plural for these objects is usually suojaimet (protective devices), but suojaimiksi appears specifically to describe the role or function in a given context.
