Sufa

Sufa (Hebrew: סוּפָה) is a place name that can refer to multiple subjects in Israel. It is the name of a kibbutz in the northwestern Negev, located within the Eshkol Regional Council near the Gaza Strip. As a kibbutz, Sufa has historically combined agricultural activity with communal living and diversified its economy through light industry and services.

The name is also used for the F-16I Sufa, a two-seat multirole fighter aircraft of the Israel

It
is
produced
through
a
collaboration
between
Lockheed

Industries
and
has
been
in
service
since
the
2000s,
used
by
the
IAF
for
air
superiority,
interdiction,
and
strategic
strike
missions.
The
Hebrew
word
"Sufa"
means
"storm."
