Sublimoituu

Sublimoituu is a Finnish verb form meaning "sublimates" or "is sublimated." It derives from the verbal root related to sublimation (sublimaatio, sublimoida) and is used in scientific, technical and figurative contexts to describe a process in which a substance or quality changes form without passing through an intermediate stage.

In physical chemistry and physics the term refers to the phase transition in which a solid turns directly into a gas under conditions of temperature and pressure that prevent a liquid phase.
