Stíluseszközök, also known as figures of speech or rhetorical devices, are techniques used in language to create a particular effect, enhance meaning, or persuade an audience. They deviate from ordinary language to make writing or speech more vivid, memorable, and impactful. These devices can be broadly categorized into figures of difference and figures of amplification.

Figures of difference involve a departure from the literal meaning of words. Examples include metaphor, which compares two unlike things without using "like" or "as," and simile, which makes a comparison using "like" or "as." Personification attributes human qualities to inanimate objects or abstract ideas. Hyperbole is the exaggeration of a statement for emphasis or effect. Irony involves a contrast between what is said and what is actually meant, or between expectation and reality.

Figures of amplification, on the other hand, add emphasis or intensity to a message. Alliteration, the repetition of initial consonant sounds, creates a musical quality. Anaphora is the repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of successive clauses or sentences. Rhetorical questions are posed not to elicit an answer but to make a point or encourage reflection. These stylistic tools are employed across various forms of communication, from literature and poetry to everyday conversation and political discourse, to enrich expression and engage the listener or reader.
