Strålningsdetektion describes the process of identifying and measuring ionizing radiation. Common detection methods include gas-filled detectors, scintillation detectors, and semiconductor detectors. Scintillation detectors utilize materials that emit light when struck by radiation; this light is then converted into an electrical signal.
