Stargell
Stargell is a surname. The most notable bearer is Willie Stargell (1940–2001), an American professional baseball player who spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1962 to 1982. A left fielder and first baseman, Stargell was known for his power hitting, finishing with 475 career home runs. He played a key role in the Pirates’ 1979 World Series championship and was named the World Series Most Valuable Player that year. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988.
