SpiderVerse
SpiderVerse is a Marvel Comics concept describing a multiverse of Spider-Man variants and, in the 2014–2015 crossover, a storyline in which numerous Spider-People from across dimensions unite against a common threat. The event was developed under writer Dan Slott and collaborators and centers on the idea that the Spider-Man identity can be assumed by many different individuals across alternate realities. The primary antagonists are the Inheritors, a family of hunters who seek to consume the life forces of Spider-People, while the heroes travel between dimensions to stop them and save the various strands of the Spider family. A key element is the Web of Life and Destiny, a cosmic network connecting all Spider-People and guiding their fates, which the story uses to weave together disparate characters and timelines.
