Sotha

Sotha is a figure in The Elder Scrolls universe, commonly associated with Sotha Sil, one of the Tribunal gods who rose to godhood during the era when the Tribunal ruled Morrowind. He is renowned for his mastery of magic and clockwork engineering, and his name is sometimes shortened to "Sotha" in fan discussions.

In the lore, Sotha Sil is a reclusive, enigmatic mage who withdrew from public life to pursue knowledge through machines and arcane experiments. As a member of the Tribunal alongside Vivec and Almalexia, he is worshipped by some Dunmer as an embodiment of wisdom and order, though his relationship with the other members is portrayed as distant.

The Clockwork City is the best-known setting associated with Sotha Sil. Described as a sprawling metropolis of gears, automatons, and thaumaturgy, the city functions as his workshop and a symbol of his synthesis of magic and machinery. It features heavily in both in-game quests and lore, and it serves as a focal point for his ideas about knowledge and control.
