Sonkajärvi
Sonkajärvi is a municipality in the Northern Savonia region of Finland. It is located approximately 80 kilometers north of Kuopio, the regional capital. The municipality covers an area of 1,578.71 square kilometers, of which 190.35 square kilometers is water. As of 2023, its population was around 3,300.
