Socialisaatio
Socialisaatio is a sociological concept referring to the lifelong process through which individuals learn and internalize the norms, values, beliefs, and behaviors of their society. This learning is essential for individuals to function effectively within their social groups and for the continuity of society itself. It begins in infancy with primary socialization, largely within the family unit, where basic language, social skills, and emotional attachments are formed.
As individuals grow, they encounter secondary socialization in environments like schools, peer groups, and the workplace.
Socialisaatio is not a passive process; individuals actively interpret and negotiate the social messages they receive.
