Slovenespeakers refers to individuals who speak the Slovene language. Slovene, also known as Slovenian, is a South Slavic language spoken by approximately 2.5 million people worldwide. The majority of Slovenespeakers reside in Slovenia, where it is the official language. Significant Slovenespeaker communities can also be found in neighboring countries such as Italy, Austria, and Croatia, particularly in border regions with historical Slovene populations. Additionally, there are Slovene diaspora communities in countries like the United States, Canada, and Australia, who maintain the language through cultural organizations and familial transmission.

The Slovene language has a rich literary tradition and is characterized by its complex grammar, including a dual number for nouns and verbs, and a system of cases. While the standard language is based on the dialect spoken in the region of Central Slovenia, there are several distinct dialects throughout the country.
