Skyddsvästen
Skyddsvästen, also known as the "Shield Wall," is a defensive structure located in the town of Skara, Sweden. It was constructed in the 14th century as part of the town's fortifications to protect against invasions and raids. The wall is made of stone and measures approximately 1.5 kilometers in length, stretching from the town's church to the river. It features several towers and gates, including the main gate, which is adorned with a statue of Saint George slaying the dragon.
