Sikhismis

Sikhismis, also known as Sikhismists, are individuals who are both Sikh and Muslim. The term "Sikhismis" is a portmanteau of "Sikh" and "Islam," reflecting their dual religious identities. Sikhismis are a small but significant community, primarily found in the Indian states of Punjab and Haryana, as well as in other parts of the world where Sikh and Muslim populations coexist.

The origins of Sikhismis can be traced back to the 19th century, when Sikh and Muslim communities intermarried. This intermarriage was often facilitated by the shared cultural and historical ties between the two communities. Sikhismis typically identify as Sikhs in their religious practices and as Muslims in their social and familial roles.
