The Sierpinski Triangle, also known as the Sierpinski Gasket, is a fractal geometric shape named after the Polish mathematician Wacław Sierpiński. It is constructed by repeatedly removing the central triangle from a series of equilateral triangles. The process begins with an equilateral triangle, which is then divided into four smaller equilateral triangles by connecting the midpoints of its sides. The central triangle is removed, leaving three smaller triangles. This process is repeated indefinitely for each of the remaining triangles, resulting in a self-similar pattern that continues to infinity.
The Sierpinski Triangle is a classic example of a fractal, a mathematical object that exhibits self-similarity
The Sierpinski Triangle has numerous applications in various fields, including computer graphics, where it is used
Despite its simple construction, the Sierpinski Triangle possesses complex mathematical properties that continue to be studied
