Shinjuku

Shinjuku is one of Tokyo's 23 special wards and a major commercial and administrative district in western Tokyo. It functions as a core business hub, with a dense mix of corporate offices, government facilities, shopping centers, and entertainment venues. The ward encompasses neighborhoods ranging from the high-rise business districts of Nishi-Shinjuku to the busy streets surrounding Shinjuku Station, and the nightlife area around Kabukicho.

Shinjuku Station, located in the heart of the district, is the world's busiest transport hub, served by multiple JR East lines, including the Chuo and Yamanote lines, as well as private operators Odakyu and Keio.

Landmarks and attractions include Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a large park offering traditional Japanese, English, and landscape gardens; the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, which houses the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and offers free observation decks with city views; and the entertainment and dining districts of Kabukicho and Golden Gai. The ward also contains numerous hotels, department stores, and corporate offices, contributing to its status as a leading commercial center in the Tokyo metropolis.
