Shangaan
Shangaan refers to a cultural and linguistic group found primarily in southern Mozambique and parts of neighboring South Africa and Zimbabwe. The Shangaan people are a Nguni-speaking Bantu ethnic group. Their origins are complex, stemming from a fusion of various Tsonga and Nguni groups who migrated and intermingled in the region during the 19th century. This historical intermingling led to the development of their distinct language, xiTsonga, and unique cultural practices.
