Sglycoside is a term that can refer to a class of chemical compounds known as S-linked glycosides. These are carbohydrates where the glycosidic bond is formed between the anomeric carbon of the sugar and a sulfur atom. This is in contrast to the more common O-glycosides, where the bond is formed with an oxygen atom, or N-glycosides, where it is formed with a nitrogen atom.
