Seotuslaadurite is a rare mineral discovered in 2006, found in the Kola Peninsula, Russia. It is named after the Estonian word "seotus," meaning "connection," reflecting its unique crystal structure. Seotuslaadurite is a complex silicate mineral, with the chemical formula Na2Ca2(Si8O20)(OH,F)2. Its crystal structure is characterized by a framework of corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra, which is unusual for silicate minerals. The mineral is typically colorless or white, with a vitreous luster, and has a Mohs hardness of approximately 5.5. Seotuslaadurite is of interest to mineralogists and geologists due to its unique structure and the conditions under which it forms. It is found in association with other rare minerals in alkaline igneous rocks, specifically in nepheline syenites.
