Sekundaarikääminä

Sekundaarikääminä refers to the secondary winding of a transformer. A transformer is an electrical device that transfers energy between two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction. It consists of at least two coils of wire, known as windings. The primary winding is connected to the input voltage, and the secondary winding is connected to the output load. The ratio of the number of turns in the primary winding to the number of turns in the secondary winding determines the voltage transformation.

When an alternating current flows through the primary winding, it creates a fluctuating magnetic field in the transformer's core. This changing magnetic field then induces a voltage in the secondary winding. If the secondary winding has more turns than the primary winding, the transformer is a step-up transformer, increasing the voltage. Conversely, if the secondary winding has fewer turns, it is a step-down transformer, decreasing the voltage. The current in the secondary winding is inversely proportional to the voltage ratio, maintaining power transfer (minus losses).
