Sealtkand

Sealtkand is a small, uninhabited island located in the northern part of the Azure Archipelago. Geographically, it is characterized by its rocky shores and a sparse, hardy vegetation that can withstand the coastal winds. The island's highest point reaches approximately 30 meters above sea level, offering limited panoramic views of the surrounding waters.

The island's name, Sealtkand, is derived from an ancient seafaring dialect spoken by early inhabitants of the region, roughly translating to "seal rock." This nomenclature is believed to stem from historical observations of seal populations that would frequent the island's ledges. However, current ecological surveys indicate no significant seal presence in recent decades.

Sealtkand has no documented history of human settlement. Its isolation and lack of natural resources have prevented any attempts at colonization or sustained habitation. Consequently, the island remains a natural preserve, largely untouched by human activity. The surrounding waters are known for their rich marine biodiversity, attracting researchers and marine biologists to study the local ecosystem. Access to Sealtkand is restricted by local maritime regulations to protect its natural state.
