Scanningsvinkel, or scanning angle, refers to the angle at which an imaging device, such as a camera, scanner, or sensor, captures or records visual information. This concept is particularly relevant in fields like photography, remote sensing, medical imaging, and industrial inspection, where precise measurements and accurate data acquisition are essential.

In photography and videography, the scanning angle defines the field of view (FOV) of a lens or sensor. It is typically measured in degrees and indicates the width of the scene that can be captured at a given distance. For example, a wide-angle lens has a larger scanning angle, capturing more of the scene horizontally, while a telephoto lens has a narrower angle, zooming in on a smaller portion.
