Deportivo Saprissa Fútbol Club, commonly known as Saprissa, is a professional football club based in Tibás, a district of San José, Costa Rica. Founded in 1935 by a group of local enthusiasts, the club competes in the Primera División de Costa Rica and is widely regarded as one of the country’s most successful teams. The team’s colors are purple, and they are commonly referred to as Los Morados.
