Saint Sernin, also known as Saturnin, is venerated as the first bishop of Toulouse in present-day France. According to medieval tradition, he was a Christian bishop who refused to renounce his faith during persecutions in the 3rd century and was martyred, traditionally dated around 250 CE. He is regarded as the patron saint of Toulouse, and his feast is celebrated on November 29.
