Sadhguru

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, born 3 September 1957 in Mysore, is an Indian yogi, mystic, and author. He is the founder of the Isha Foundation, a non-profit organization that teaches yoga and undertakes social outreach. The foundation operates the Isha Yoga Center near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and offers programs worldwide.

Vasudev began teaching yoga publicly in the early 1980s after a personal transformative experience and later established the Isha Foundation. The organization offers programs such as Isha Hatha Yoga and Inner Engineering, and it houses the Dhyanalinga, a meditative space on the campus.

The foundation has launched social and environmental initiatives, including Cauvery Calling and Rally for Rivers, aimed at water stewardship, tree planting, and rural livelihoods. It also supports education, health, and environmental projects in India and in other countries.

Sadhguru is the author of Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy (2016) and has spoken at various conferences and forums worldwide. His work has attracted a broad audience, including followers and critics, reflecting a range of responses to his teachings and activities.
